Protection Current Transformer (Protection CT) is used to measured current flow in the system and connected into protection relay. It is used to protect disturbance in the system (short circuit, overload, etc). Protection CT has more accuracy limit current than measuring standard CT.

Measurement Current Transformer (Measurement CT) is used to measured current flow in the system and connected to monitoring instrument.
